Welcome to The Balcony. Now let me start with a disclaimer; if you are looking for one of those online diaries filled with twaddle and drama about how sad life is, you’ve come to the wrong place. Go to Google, search the words “Xanga” “Myspace” or, my personal favorite, “Facebook.”
And if you are one of those kinds of bloggers. Please, for the sake of humanity, keep it in your diary under your mattress next to your rubber band roll of dollar bills that you took out of the bank and triggered the recession with.
Now that that’s cleared up. I created this blog as an outlet for somewhat intelligent and hopefully intelligible banter and commentary about things that bother me day to day. It is also inspired by and in honor of my favorite Muppets, Statler and Waldorf. Ya know, the two old guys who sit in the balcony and heckle during the show? Admit it. You watched the Muppets and still have the VHS copies collecting dust next to your Duck Hunt gun and Nintendo controllers.
