View From The Balcony
Well, in the end my friend, we will all be together again
Clutching onto my hand, in a valley we’ll stand, just living again
And in a while we’ll smile, march on another mile
On hallowed hills, attached to the land we’ll be still
No one’s ever gonna say a thing
And we’ll be together, together again
Taking off to the city on down
Just a while ago my soul was confused, amused at what it did not know
Days went by, and amusement cried, I decide to let
My soul fly on by itself, pick happiness up and bring it back to the shelf
We’ll be okay one day, in a valley we will stay
No more moving on
I knew it was right here all along
Won’t have to hold your crown, no more looking around
Just holding you tight in the city on down
Just a while ago my soul was confused, amused at what it did not know
But days went by and amusement cried
I decide it’s time, I got to move on now
But I was so scared
I was frightened, somewhat enlightened
So I changed shoes
Now I walk through a valley of color much better than the other
Way I did not know, but now we can be united
Miracle, miracle sighted, and I’m pulling it in
I know by now we can all walk together at a regular speed
Do you dare to be excited, are you somewhat delighted?
Are you aware somewhat delighted?
At what you did not know
Let’s take it to the city on down
"City on Down" by OAR

There is something you need to know
Charge the wall
Tear down the hull
Make a point to have a point of view.

It doesn’t matter what you say
And no, I can’t come out to play
Because I’ve got something else to do.

Hoping for daylight to follow me
If your lost in the dark get to where you can see
There is somewhere we’re supposed to be
And you know
In a matter of time you set yourself free.

from “Daylight the Dog,” - Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) I think I’ve taken this on as my mantra.

O.A.R. - “Gotta Be Wrong Sometimes”

Is it me or does it seem that life just carries on?
Now was it him who said that life is just a song?
Now I don’t know what will keep me on this little Earth
I just might use the love that’s all in the dirt
But every damn time
That I see you
I say to myself
She ain’t worth it
She ain’t worth nothin I got…
from “Get Away” by O.A.R.
So I told people come out of your cage.
Time to break lock forever.
Join together. March on top, hold my hand, say goodbye to never.
from “Top of the Cage” by O.A.R. (Of a Revolution)

Holy technology, Batman! Of a Revolution (O.A.R.) live at Red Rocks last summer.

Maybe I should take my time
and build this life by my own design
with no direction and it’s in between
everything I love, and everything I need.

So bring it back
all I want is understanding
to live my life the way that I planned it
wouldn’t change a thing
man, it feels like heaven underneath my feet.

"Heaven" by O.A.R.

so raise em up, raise em up
all i ever wanted was a shot at your love
i know and i believe
everything we got is everything we need
love’ll get you higher
it set my heart on fire
i know it’s what you see
don’t wanna go to heaven if they don’t want me.

Cause I’m no criminal
I’m not your enemy
all i have is life
and i don’t wanna go to heaven if i can’t get in.
